The word nano comes from the Greek Name which literally means Dwarf (dwarf or magical miniature creature) but it is being used as a unit of size.  One nanometer (1 nanometer = 10 meters) is one hundredth of a meter.  And all the technologies related to this nanometer scale are called nanotechnology.  Nanotechnology is a science, engineering, and technology that operates on a nano scale, ranging from 1 to 100 nanometers.  With this technology, many things can be done in the coming days by breaking or attaching molecules.

According to the online dictionary Momiam-Webster, nanotechnology is the science of manipulating materials on an atomic or molecular scale, especially to build microscopic devices (as robots).  The science of manipulating objects.  Nanotechnology is called nanotech for short.

The American physicist Richard Feynman first introduced the concept of nanotechnology in his discussion "There's Plenty of Room at the Retum" on December 29, 1959.  If a marble is one nanometer then the size of the earth will be one meter.  Nanoscience and nanotechnology is the ability to see and control a single molecule of an atom.  Everything in this world that we eat, everything that we wear, homes that we live in, everything in our body is made up of atoms.  But the atom is so small that it cannot be seen with the naked eye.  In 1960, IBM researchers first discovered the STM (Scanning Tunneling Microscope) device that can be used to observe the formation of molecules.  The invention of this device has been able to make nanotechnology a reality.  This will make a small ant look like a downsizer.

The use of nanotechnology will create new horizons in medicine.  For example, in the treatment of cancer, radiation damages not only the infected cells but also many other good cells in the vicinity.  This can lead to disability.  If nanotechnology can be used, radiation can only be given to infected cells.  The use of nanotechnology can revolutionize many areas, including medicine, electronics, and energy production.  As much as there is talk of IT in the 21st century, the majority of Japan's national research budget is being used for nanotechnology. Developed countries in Europe, America and Asia are conducting extensive research on nanotechnology.  Why is everyone so interested in nanotechnology?  A simple answer is that the day ahead is the age of nanotechnology.  Have a heart attack?  The nano robot will enter the body and repair all the problems of the heart.  The watch will become a computer.  For the sake of nanotechnology, different things will be much smaller and lighter.  Through nanotechnology, it will be possible to do many things in the coming days by attaching molecules to pairs.

 Application fields of Nann Technology:

Nanotechnology is currently being used to make a variety of products.  Below are some of the applications mentioned.

Making computer hardware: Nanotechnology is used in making various hardware and video game consoles to increase the memory, speed, efficiency, etc. of the computer.

Nano Robots: Research is underway to create tiny robots using nanotechnology.  Such robots will be able to perform surgery inside the human body.

Electronics Equipment: Nanotechnology is used in the manufacture of various types of electronics equipment to increase efficiency by reducing power consumption, weight and shape.

Fuel: Nanotechnology is used to make fuel from low cost raw materials and to make fuel cells for different types of batteries and hydrogen ions.

Packaging and coating making: This technology is used in packaging of food products and in making coating of various things.  In the molecular structure of the drug, so that the drug can be applied directly to the diseased cell.  Medicines made using nanotechnology are called smart drugs.

Textile industry: Nanotechnology is used in the textile industry to improve the weight and density of fabrics.

Diagnosis and cure of cancer: Using nanosensors, it has been possible to completely diagnose the biomarker that causes cancer in the blood of the human body.  Cancer cells can be destroyed using nano needles only by subtly administering the drug to caper-infected cells.

Sporting Goods: Nanotechnology is used to increase the durability of tennis balls, to maintain the position of golf balls in the air, to increase the strength and durability of racquets.  Nanotechnology is also used to increase the durability of shoes, socks, trousers, etc. of the players.

Air Purification: Air purification can be done by converting harmful fumes from factories into harmful gases through chemical reactions.

Space Expeditions: Nanotechnology is used to reduce the amount of dwarfs by lightening the various spacecraft used in space missions.

Creating artificial limbs: It is possible to create sensory artificial limbs using nanotechnology.  Nanotechnology is used to make the titanium dioxide used in sunscreen.
